Temporary Reopening of National Cycle Network Route 7

Location

The National Cycle Network 7 (NCN7) Non-Motorised User route (NMU) between Tomatin and Moy

Description

To allow maintenance and improvement works on the diversion of the National Cycle Network Route 7 (NCN7), the existing NCN7 route will be temporarily reopened. These improvement works will ensure continued access for non-motorised users ahead of peak cycle times in 2026.

Instead of crossing the A9 at the Invereen roundabout, users will continue adjacent to the A9 northbound carriageway by an existing paved pathway for approximately 1.3km where they will then cross the A9 as they did previously, approximately 70m south of the Dalmagarry farm junction.

The below map outlines the route.

Date and time:

The route will be reopened from 21 November 2025 and will remain open until January 2026. The current temporary diversion will close from the 21 November.
